NOVEMBER 2006 -  Our club has sent three "care" packages to servicemen in Iraq & is planning to send a fourth. Here are a couple of e-mails sent back to us in response...

 Hi Phil - we received the package the other day from the club! thanks alot - the package was greatly appreciated and we shared it with the other guys in our platoon. its nice to know people back home think and appreciate what we are doing over here! please let all who donated know we say thanks!!!!! i'll try and get a digital picture of the squad and send it to you sometime. i don't have a digital camera so i'll have to get one of the guys to take a picture. i only use disposable cameras and no place to get them developed over here!!!!! well i gotto go thanks and talk to you later   ralph

 I just wanted to say thank you very much for all the goodies that you sent myself and my fellow soldiers, everyone greatly appreciated it and it spread throughout over more than just the 8 of us. Your gift was a big morale booster for everyone, they have been working very hard and long hours, so to see a package from outside your family really shows that there are people that do care and respect the fact that were over here defending our country.  hi, i would like to thank you and the rest of the atv club for your generosity in the care package that you sent our way. it was nice, and everyone that was not on leave at the time it came in got to have a little something out of it. so again thank you from all of us in 7 platoon, 2nd squad Raptors. sorry that i did not get any pics with the guys and some items for you guys. i can though forward some pics that i already have of some of the guys, that way you kinda have a face to go with the squad. just let me know, and if you send any future packages, i will make sure to get some pics before everyone disappears. again, thank you for the support and the care package.

NOVEMBER 2007 - Our club donated four turkeys for the Thanksgiving dinner held at the clubhouse on Nov. 22.
Also we are in the process of sending another box to our troops. These are done with donations, so if anyone would like to donate for the troops, you may give those donations to our Treasurer Shirley Drew or our President Philip Shields. It is for a good cause and they will be appreciated.
We are very pleased to annouce that Midnight Auto has donated a mini wheeler to our club. We are looking into having a big raffle in the spring. We will let you know more on this in the months ahead. A big THANK YOU! to Midnight Auto for their generous donation.
